A lovely cottage for two people with such a history. Beautiful views from the windows every morning. It was close to the uptown stores and restaurants. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quaint little getaway for two.

Amazing! Very stylish unit. Views from the house are spectacular. Well stocked kitchen and nice patio for grilling and chilling. Great proximity to all things Sedona. Hosts are great communicators. You simply can't go wrong as a couple if you pick this listing.

Beautiful place and prime location! Open concept and very clean. You get a gorgeous view of the red rocks right from the kitchen and much more as you go outside and walk around. Minutes from the main strip and so close to all the popular trails. Highly recommend this place!

A great place to rest and regenerate. I took a tour of the former home of Max Ernst and really enjoyed learning about him and Dorothea. I have to mention all the thoughtful touches this home has. Backpack to use, coffee pods, creamer, sunscreen, hike pokes, guides, umbrella and the list goes on. You can really tell this casita is loved and the hosts want you to enjoy it. Gorgeous! Thank you so much for letting us stay. Incredible energy.

“The cottage was lovely and immaculate. It is in a beautiful area with a great view, and very convenient to restaurants and shops. Mark gave us a tour of the museum on the property and a very informative talk about Max & Dorothea’s work and life history.”
- Pam / North Carolina
From the beautiful, well appointed, well constructed, comfortable living space, to the amazingly interesting, passionate private tour that Mark gave us about the artist Ernst, what can we say other than we had an amazing stay! We appreciated the great communication, recommendations and all Kevin’s responsiveness through our stay!

This is probably the best vacation experience I have ever had. A real gem both for nature and art lovers, nestled between the national park and historical Max Ernst/ Dorothea Tanning's house. We came for a few days of relaxation, walking trails to viewpoints/vortexes as well as bathing in the pristine pools of Oak Creek near the Crescent Moon ranch.
The kind and generous hosts were amazing, gave us a guided art tour of the Ernst house and almost everything we did, from hikes to restaurants, was based on their excellent recommendations (shared in person as well as written and provided in the cottage alongside the plentiful guide books on hiking trails, nature, wildlife, history, and art).
The cottage is stylish, cozy, super clean, safe, has all the amenities for cooking at home and the most amazing views across the valley and surrounded by gardens/trees. Close to shopping, cafes, spas but far enough to be a retreat, inspiring creativity.

Wow. Where to begin with this space? Our hosts took so much personal time to share favorite restaurants, hikes and activities. The space is absolutely beyond description. The pictures do not do it justice. It was built by a world famous artist who built the space in the 1940s. The view is absolutely exquisite. And Mark and his wife made me feel like part of their family! They are so incredibly hospitable and clearly enjoy hosting others. I look forward to returning and staying here again! Thank you Mark.

This is an amazing place, do not hesitate! The cottage was pristine, Mark (co-host) was wonderful, and oh so knowledgeable! We felt immediately relaxed and at home. This is an incredibly unique and historic physical and artistic location.

Wow this place was perfect! We were so happy with our stay. The cottage was clean and the location was amazing. Red rock views right out of your window. It was a quick 2 minute drive to the center of town and trailhead access is right near by. The hosts recommended a ton of things to do and sights to see. If you are a fan of art and history this is the spot for you. Can’t recommend this place enough. Thanks for a great stay!
